Development of Urban Wind Power Generation System with Parallel Arrangement of Savonius Windmills - Relationship on Arrangement and Wind Direction

摘要

From the viewpoint of realization of "urban wind power generation", the authors propose assembled generation system with multiple vertical-axis wind turbines such as Savonius windmills. In this report, we describe fundamental experiment of a prototype of the assembled unit with four Savonius windmills and discuss the effect of wind direction.
