In this paper, we present a design method of a decentralized H{sup}∝ controller for large-scale linear interconnected systems. In this approach, an expanded sub-system for each sub-system which consists of approximate states of the sub-system, the interaction model and the error between the plant states and the reference one is constructed. Next, a local H{sup}∝ state feedback controller for the expanded sub-system is obtained. Finally, a sufficient condition on the interconnections among sub-systems is presented for desired H{sup}∝ attenuation bounds from the overall disturbance inputs to the overall error between the plant states and the reference one to be achieved by local H{sup}∝controllers.
