A method for detecting the markers of boarding location

It is very dangerous when the blind walks along in a station. This paper presents a method for detecting markers of boarding location from an image. First, a signboard including the marker is extracted by calculating the affine moment invariant. Then, the marker of a boarding location is detected based on the affine invariant matching. Extensive experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed method for real images of subway stations.
