A note on identification of bilinear systems exemplified by water tank temperature control

Some processed in the plants have nonlinear Systems called bilinear due to energy or material balances, which are difficult to be identified with a small number of data. This report proposes a method to estimate bilinear dynamics using binary signal, where time varying time discrete parameters are converted into time continuous system. A water tank temperature control process is experimented to exemplify the method to be useful in practical plant identification.
