The authors have developed that Computer Aided Education system for finger characters. However, the users can only learn finger characters without motions. To learn all finger characters, this paper proposes a method to recognize finger characters included motions. The system recognizes a user's finger character via three features; hand's posture, hand's direction and hand's trajectory. The system measures a hand posture, a wrist's direction and position by glove-type sensor and magnetic sensor. The system assumes an elbow's position, utilizing measured wrist's information. The system measures a hand's trajectory. Comparing the three measured features with the target pattern of finger characters, ths system recognizes the user's finger characters.
