The hand gesture is one of handy human interfaces to the computer system. The paper proposes a method to estimate the three dimensional pose of a hand wearing a glove colored with six different colors. A monocular camera takes the images in a black background. Each glove image is segmented into six regions and the center of gravity and the circumscribed square for each region are calculated as the key shape information of each region. The three dimensional pose of a hand is estimated by using the above information obtained. The pose and motion thus obtained is well matched to the hand motion on experimental studies.
