On-Board Monitor Camera for Comets

摘要

COMETS(Communication Engineering Test Satellite) launched February in 1998, has some large scele depoyment structrues; such as Solar Paddle, Inter-Orbit Link(IOL) antenna, etc. This On-board monitor camera was adopted to monitor these structures' deployment on the orbit. The development of the Camera was required to complete within three(3) months. To keep this extraordinary short development term, many existing technoligies and the commercial parts were adopted. The Camera has been working normally until today on the orbit for 16 months after launch. This report describes the summary of the Camera development and presents the actual images which were taken on the orbit.
