摘要

Particle or short fiber reinforce metal matrix composite materials(MMCs)have better friction and wear resistance properties than metal matrix alloy. It is an important application to use MMCs for surface strengthening process to improve the mechanic properties. In this paper, A liquid infiltration Process of making alumina-silica short fibers local reinforced Al-Si alloy has been carried out. The strength and wear resistance of the composite have been studied. Fiber local reinforced Al-Si alloy composite, has improved its surface strength and wear resistance.
