摘要

The “Disaster Area Teacher Training” Program was carried out from April 2010 to December 2014 in coordination with the post-disaster reconstruction after the May 12 Earthquake. It was implemented by the National Center for Educational Technology under the Ministry of Education and United Nations Children's Fund Representative Office in Beijing, under the sponsorship of IKEA. The program launched four rounds of training for teachers. The first three rounds were mainly training on effective teaching (including six modules of classroom observation and evaluation, efficient classroom introduction, effective classroom instruction, classroom questioning and feedback, group discussion and cooperative learning, and after-school homework management). In response to the current situation where teachers in the disaster areas have insufficient ability to apply information technology and the rate of information equipment utilization is low, the program team dynamically increased training on IT application ability (including the use of network learning platform, network resource retrieval and downloading, PPT courseware making and application, special subject teaching website production, and the integration of information technology and curriculum). The fourth round of training was mainly on the theory and practice of inquiry teaching (including general knowledge of inquiry teaching, process and method of inquiry teaching, design and practice of inquiry subject teaching plans). To facilitate the teachers to apply the knowledge they learned in the training program to the teaching practice, the program team decided that in the fifth round of training, the program counties may organize various forms of teaching and research training activities by themselves according to their actual conditions (such as school-based educational research, article writing, and case sharing). And this will help accurately understand the effectiveness of the program, timely sum up the experience of program implementation, provide constructive advice for the follow-up programs, and offer guidance for the effective implementation of similar program management.
