摘要

This paper explores the qualitative research course for undergraduate psychology students at IEUniversity (Instituto de Empresa) through an analysis of students' perceptions and experiences asgathered through an open-ended questionnaire. This course introduces and trains students at theundergraduate level in the methodology, practice, and use of the computer-assisted qualitative dataanalysis software ATLAS.ti within qualitative research. Students studied qualitative methodology,learned to use ATLAS.ti, and applied their knowledge in a case study research project on theleadership of an international company. Overall perceptions of the course are positive, and studentsgenerally valued the learning and practical experience they gained. The students recognized thiscourse as an important complement to their predominantly quantitative curriculum. As a result, thispaper suggests that qualitative research (its methodology and the use of software tools) can andshould be taught to undergraduate students.
