(2191) REFORM AND PRACTICE OF CIVIL ENGINEERING IN CHINESE UNIVERSITIES BASED ON STRUCTURAL EUROCODES

摘要

In order to cultivate international students and talents in civil engineering, reform exploration andpractice on civil engineering curriculum system, teaching plans, teaching contents, teaching methodsand teaching materials are taken based on both Eurocodes and Chinese Codes. Especially structuralEurocodes as important part has been introduced in the Civil Engineering Subject' teaching programof Shanghai Normal University in China. Through strengthening international cooperation andintroducing of high-quality education resources in the UK and Eurocodes in civil engineering teaching,all these have obtained meaningful achievements. As a result, internationalization of students isimproved significantly, at the same time, students accepted by the world-class universities for theirmaster's degree increase obviously. This research puts forward a creative scheme to cultivate theinternational talents in civil engineering who have the international horizon, good knowledge ofinternational rules and competence of participating international projects and competitions. In thispaper, a new way is shown to promote the international reform of curriculum system and trainingsystem in civil engineering in Chinese universities.
