(2247) CONTRIBUTING TO THE OCW INITIATIVE: IMPLEMENTATION OF A COURSE ON ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM

The OpenCourseWare (OCW) is a project initiated by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)in 2001. It is intended to provide online open-access educational materials to students, teachers andlearners. OCW initiative has quickly extended to universities worldwide. In the year 2007 theUniversity of Cantabria (UC) launched its OCW website offering 8 courses. Nowadays, the UC offersover 160 courses on sciences and humanities. In this work, we analyze the growth and maturation ofthe OCW project at the UC and focus on the implementation and evolution of a course on Electricityand Magnetism.
