Electric Vehicles - Competitiveness And Ascendancy In Croatia With Green Strategies Overview

Electric vehicles have been a very popular topic recently, praised through national media. The Croatian electricity company HEP has started expanding charging stations currently in city centers, and plan to develop a network of 345 charging stations in Croatia by 2020. Croatia has also started with direct non-refundable grants for electric vehicles. If this can be considered reasonable while Croatia is importing about 30-40% of its electricity demand will be discussed in this paper with emphasis on energy, ecology and economy issues.
