Exact fertilizing is crucial for sustainable agriculture. Centrifugal fertilizer spreaders are the mostly used machines for fertilizing in humid areas. They dose the fertilizer centrally and throw it with vanes on spinning discs up to 40 meters into the field. Different physical properties of fertilizers and varying conditions of the environment (i.e. wind, driving on a hillside and tilt of the machine) influence the distribution. Especially wind has a strong influence, therefore fertilizing is usually done under low wind conditions. We already reported about simulation of the influence of wind on the fertilizer distribution. In this paper we present the results for compensation of the wind effect (according to Prof. Dr. Karl Wild, HTW Dresden) calculated by simulation as well as for field tests. Additionally we will discuss a system to analyze the stability of a certain lateral fertilizer distribution in a simple way.
