Can Alternative Project Delivery Methods Improve Desalination Project Success?

There are many factors that keep the delivered cost of desalination facilities higher than it could be, some of the significant ones are: the lack of desalination planning, design and regulatory expertise; the limited size of the RO desalination industry; the lack of environmental experience with RO desalination plants; and, the energy efficiency and intensity of the RO desalination process. Each of these factors currently has an adverse impact on the cost of RO desalination.
