In the light of high density fractured rock mass and platform plugging in right dam abutment of Xin'anjiang Dam, 3-d saturated-unsaturated seepage mathematical model due to surface infiltration is established. The saturated-unsaturated seepage field before and post sealing in the working condition of common rainfall and rainstorm is calculated and then is used to study the change law of uplift pressure at dam foundation with different underground water level and seepage gradient at right dam The results show that V 142m platform plugging not only blocks the ground rainfall infiltration in this platform area effectively, but also reduces lateral recharge to rock mass around the platform from rainfall infiltration in this platform area. It also improves the behavior of bank slope underground water motion at right dam abutment, reduces lateral recharge from right dam abutment rock mass to dam foundation and is beneficial to decrease uplift pressure at dam foundation to some extent.
