Bone Regeneration Materials Based onCalcium Phosphate Ceramics

摘要

Bone has two important roles playing in vertebrates' body. One is obviouslyunderstandable from naked-eye observation, i.e., support the vertebrates' bodyfor living and guard constitutive organs, e.g., brain, lung and heart. For thispurpose, bone has to be a strong and tough material. Another important role ofbone is a reservoir for calcium and other inorganic ions, i.e., bone is an organfor maintaining homeostasis of inorganic ions in the vertebrates' body. For thispurpose, bone has to be easy to decompose and recompose by a regularbiological mechanisms with cells.
