Quadruople - Time-of-Flight Tandem Mass Spectrometry Identifies and Quantifies Eugenol in Extraction from Bio-oils into Diesel

ESI-QTOF-MS~2 can quantify eugenol as it is extracted from bio-oil into diesel, with comparable sensitivity to DUIS-QQQ-MS~2. APCI-QTOF-MS~2 did not ionize both compounds as well. We plan to extend the successful ESI-QTOF- and DUIS-QQQ-MS~2 methods to high mass bio-oil compounds.
