Comprehensive Proteomic Analysis of Membrane Proteins in Toxoplasma.Gondii

We have performed very comprehensive proteomics analysis of Toxplasma gondii membrane proteins. By integrating proteomic experiments and bioinformatics predictions on protein sequences, currently over one thousand membrane proteins from T.gondii were identified. This proteomics analysis provides tremendous information to validate predicted protein sequences. Analysis of membrane proteome of T.gondii will benefit understanding the molecular mechanisms of parasite invasion and pathogenesis as well as identifying new targets for chemotherapy.
