摘要

The redox state of the plastoqtiinone-pool (PQ-pool) is believed to play a function of a major redox sensor in chloroplasts that triggers and mediates many cellular responses to the variable environment, especially to changes in light quality and intensity. It is believed that the redox state of the PQ-pool regulates phosphorylation of the light-harvesting complex II (LHCII) via a cytochrome b_6-f-dependent kinase (Vener et al 1998), chloroplastic gene expression of proteins of photosystem II and I complexes (PSII and PSI) (Allen & Pfannschmidt 2000, Pfannschmidt 2003, Zer & Ohad 2003), expression of nuclear-encoded genes for ascorbate peroxidase (APX1 and APX2) (Fryer et al 2003, Karpinski et al 1999), superoxide dismutase (SOD) (Slesak et al 2003), carotenoid biosynthesis (Steinbrenner & Linden 2003) and others (Pfannschmidt et al 2003).
