Air-liquid interface (ALI) cell exposure system with human lung epithelial cell line (A-549) was used to examine the cell viability and inflammation response of exposing to different levels of ozone and ozone/β-pinene reaction products. A small scale chamber (8.4 × 10~(-4) m~3) injecting different ozone levels by using ozone generator/monitor (dasibi, USA) to simulate different indoor ozone concentrations (30, 60, 120ppb). β-pinene was injected consistently for producing secondary reaction for ALI exposure. The secondary reactive aerosols were measured by Scanning Mobility Particle Sizer (SMPS) and changes of cell viability and inflammation response were measured in different exposure scenario.
