The design of an airborne, portable, eye safe, tropo-spheric aerosol lidar system based on two Nd:YAG laser wavelengths, 1064nm and linearly polarised 532nm, operating at 60mJ and 120mJ, respectively, with a 15Hz pulse repetition rate is presented.
