摘要

A dynamic model of a composite hulled vehicle is developed to study vehicle stability during main weapon firing. The model is constructed through the use of the Dynamic Analysis Design System (DADS) software package. The simulation determines the amount of yaw that will occur during weapons fire using a worst case scenario that positions the weapon firing over the side of the vehicle at an elevation of zero degrees horizontal. Active control elements are then placed in the suspension to attempt to minimize the vehicle's response to the firing of the gun. The pro-active algorithms effectively change the suspension characteristics from road-handling to gun firing during the roughly 50 milliseconds that the recoil mechanism is acting on the vehicle.
