摘要

A novel approach to sheet rolling process has been proposed for γ-TiAl+α_2-Ti_3Al based alloys. This approach included: ⅰ) two-step thermomechanical treatment with the last step below the eutectoid temperature, ⅱ) the use of alloys most appropriate for wrought processing, and ⅲ) "low-temperature" (below the eutectoid temperature) sheet rolling process. The produced sheets exhibited excellent superplastic properties in as-rolled condition, as well as quite reasonable mechanical properties in as-rolled and α heat treated condition.
