Polythiophenes and oligothiophenes have been extensively investigated from material viewpoints. It is very important to develop the high-performance photofunctional materials based on oligothiophene. Recently, much attention has been focused on the enhancement of quantum efficiency by introduction of silyl groups into polyaromatic chromophore. In this presentation, we report the synthesis and luminescence properties of main-chain type silyl-substituent oligothiophene polymer prepared by hydrosilylation polymerization.
