Controlling supramolecular order of aggregation units will be one of promising technologies for creating future functional materials. Heterolytic arrangement of different sort of small molecules in aggregation fibers is one of fascinating theme in gel chemistry, but precise tuning control of the molecular order still remains challenging, since (1) self-complementary assemblies of single molecules are generally dominant due to their thermodynamic preferences and (2) strategies for two-component aggregations are principally based on uncontrollable 1:1 or 2:1 association of each molecular unit.
