Research on result-chain based modeling and its application in enterprise analysis and system design

摘要

Enterprise modeling is the basis of knowing enterprises. In order to promote enterprise' total competitive ability, enterprise modeling is also needed by implementing advanced manufacturing strategy, BPR and information engineering. Based on the research of the enterprise modeling theory, RCM method (Result-chain based modeling) as well as its semantics, syntax and its application criterion is put forward. As examples, RCM is used to analyze a project decision, an enterprise's CIM system and its product development subsystem. Research shows that because RCM emphasizes on the interrelationships among different parts of the system and their contributions to the ultimate aim of enterprises, RCM chart can help people to distinguish relationships between systems, technology, organizations, persons, decisions and evaluating systems and to find the best benefit approach from their IT investment, -namely, the lowest costs and the minimum risks, RCM is a new methodology to solve the problems in high technology and traditional modeling methods.
