Samples from the quartz―gold―(Sb, Te) sulfide stage were studied to understand the genesis of the pipe-like ore bodies of the Kochbulak deposit (Uzbekistan). TEM (transmission electron microscopy) combined with X-ray microanalysis show that the rhythmically - banded texture of the ore association resulted from self-organization of mineral matter. Gold mobilization and accumulation in the pipe-like bodies occurs by this process. The bonanza concentrations of gold resulted from the energy produced by Oxidation/Reduction fluctuations during self-organization.
