18-Month Outcome After Percutaneous Intervention in Post-Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Patients

From January-05 to September-06, 91 patients with previous history of bypass surgery have undergone percutaneous intervention at our institution. Patients were clinically followed until July-07, recording the incidence of major adverse cardiac events (MACE). 58% patients were treated in the native arteries, 34% in the grafts, and 8% in both. A total of 154 lesions were treated with 197 stents (84% drug-eluting stents). Procedural success rate was 95,6%. Mean follow-up was 18+-7 months. Out of hospital MACE incidence was 18,6%: death occurred in 4.4% of the patients, myocardial infarction in 2.2%, and 12% underwent repeat revascularization (target lesion revascularization in 5,4%). Multivariate analysis revealed left ventricular ejection fraction <50% and multivessel intervention to be independent predictors of MACE at follow-up.
