Formulating Ration Standard of Food from Animals (RSFA) for PLA man is usch an essential work that it will decide both quantity and quality of nutreitns for all the PLA menin the first ten years of next century. The RESFA should not only meet the needs of living and working of PLA men, but also be adaptable to the development of Chinese economy[1]. In the paper, five steps are taken in the formulation process: The first stpe is to sep up a forecasting model, which is R chemical bounds Y (1+a) (1+b). THe second step is to determine the daily consumption of animal food by an average urban resident. The third setp is to determine the percentage of protein requirement of an urban male adut above that of an average urban resident. The fourth step is to find the percentage of protenin requirement of a PLA man above that of an urban male adult. And the last step is to obtain the required quantity of animal food by PLA man in the ration standard. Weighted analysis and linear regression are used for the first time to forecast RSFA on the basis of daily food consumption of urban people from national statistical data. This method is thought by some experts to be a general one. Any RSFA in any time in the future can be forecasted by it both at home and abroad. So it is of great value.
