The preferred color reproduction of skin was surveyed in Japan and South Korea to investigate the influence of the age of the observers and the regional effects. The two groups consisted of 10's to 60's observers. The mean hue-angle (hab) and Chroma (C~*ab) of the flesh colors accepted by 50% or more of the observers in each country was in the order Koreax>apan in all generation. Elderly observers (40's and over) accepted more pinkish flesh colors than young observers (30's and under) in both countries. The results suggest that the preference for flesh color is influenced by the observer's generation and the regional factors.
