EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON TESTING METHOD FOR TENSION STRENGTH OF BAMBOO

摘要

The usage of bamboo is limited because of difficulty of assembly in connection and the unique configuration in spite of the high strength, high rigidity and rapid growth. On the other hand, a large quantity of bamboo is grown in Japan. The testing method of bamboo should be established to promote the usage of bamboo. For the reason mentioned above, the objective of this study is the establishment of testing method for tension strength of bamboo. Particularly, the relationship between the configurations of test piece and strength is researched in this study.
