摘要

The emanating power (Fr) of ~(220)Rn from a powdery sample was experimentally estimated. The powdery sample used in this study consisted of natural mineral encrustations left by a radioactive hot spring. The emanating power of thoron was analyzed based on both the theoretical emanation model of UNSCEAR and the result of the emanation test using the delayed-coincidence and time-analysis method with a flow-through scintillation flask. Finally, the maximum value of Fr for thoron was calculated to be approximately 0.5.
