Temperature change in air-conditioning using an electric fan

Temperature change inside a room due to stirring the air is treated. A miniature model of a room was used for the measurement of the temperature change. Inside of the miniature model was electrically heated as a heating apparatus. The air inside the room was stirred by an electric fan so that a uniform distribution of the air temperature may be obtained. The temperature change was measured when the electric fan was operated, the revolution number of the electric fan being changed. It was found that the minimum revolution number (or the velocity) is necessary to achieve uniform distribution of the temperature.
