Radiation chemistry methods have been proven to have high potential to induce and to study the dynamics of nucleation and growth of mono- and bi-metallic clusters from the monomer to the stable nanoparticle. Pulse radiolysis also provides the means to observe directly by the time-resolved technique their reactivity, and thus to determine during the growth their nuclearity-dependent properties, such as the redox potential, which is of crucial importance in certain catalytic reactions.
