Systemic acquired resistance (SAR) in plants is induced by primary induction of local hypersensitive reaction involving oxidative burst (OXB), and salicylic acid (SA) is though to be a systemic signal factor for induction of PR-proteins. However, little is known about systemic signaling mechanisms for SAR induction. We report hear a new aspect of the systemic signaling for SAR that local oxidative burst dispatched a systemic signal, which stimulated the secondary oxidative burst at the other sites prior induction of SAR.
