The Polish copper ores are very demanding inrelation to the used technology and the equipment. Especially,the flotation part of the concentrator needs usage of the high-performance and cost-effective machines. Hovewer, because oflack of investment in the previous period the old fashioned andlow-effective flotation cells are still in use. The general strategyand methodology for retrofitting flotation circuits in the case ofpolish copper concentrators have been presented in the paper.The existing state of flotation circuits and machines in the polishcopper concentrators has been described. The results andbenefits of application of the new injector type, domesticflotation cells and Outokumpu HG type flotation cells forcleaning circuits have been shown. Also, the flotation results forthe newest, big Denver DR - series and Outokumpu OK - seriescells in rougher flotation and in grinding circuits have been displayed.
