Collecting properties of nonionic surfactant(Triton X100) with sodium oleate for quartz and microclinewere studied using Hallimond tube, frothability tests,conductometric titration and ling phenomenon of Triton X100.The influence of Na-oleate on nonionic flotation of quartz andfeldspar was studied. The results suggested that at a smalldosage of Na-oleate, flotation of quartz was enhanced andmicrocline remained unfloated, whereas the pH flotation limitfor quartz was enlarged. At higher dosage of Na-oleate,microcline can be floated. The results are explained by themutual action of Triton X100 and oleate and the predominantrole of hemimicellization phenomenon.
