In this study, an attempt was made to upgrade thetailings of Etibank Karagedik Chromite Concentrator using apilot scale high intensity Jones wet magnetic separator and apilot scale column flotation unit. By the application of highintensity wet magnetic separation (HIWMS) together withcolumn flotation of the -0.1 mm size fraction a concentratehaving a grade of 47.7 percent Cr_2O_3 with a recovery of 61.4percent was obtained. When the results of shaking table testscarried out with -1.0+0.1 mm size fraction were included therecovery increased up to 66.0 percent.
