Integrated modern mineral processing centre in India: a joint effort of united nations development programme and government of India

The prospects for mineral processing in India andin fact, in all developing countries, continue to be quite brightand demanding. The paper describes the integrated modernmineral processing laboratory and pilot plant, recently set up inIndian Bureau of Mines (IBM), Government of India at Nagpurin Central India. The pilot plant is large, flexible and versatile toprocess all types of metallic ores and industrial minerals. It isunique in South East Asia and is rated amongst the best suchfacility in the world. It is intended to cater to the expandingneeds of mineral processing in India and other developing notions.
