In today's highly competitive global market, it is becoming necessary for the producers to manufacture good quality cement and related products. Petrographic analysis augments other modes of analysis and can provide information necessary for routine quality control as well as a diagnostic tool for problem solving. The article describes new materials and methods for preparing thin and polished sections for petrographic analysis.
