Diffusion Dialysis technology is being used for the recycling of a variety of industrial acids and acid mixtures. Successful applications include the following: Methane Sulfonic acid; Hydrochloric acid chrome rack strips; Hydrochloric acid pickles; Nitric acid strip solutions for copper, nickel, tin and lead; mixtures of Nitric and Hydrofluoric acids; mixtures of Hydrochloric and Sulfuric acid; Hydrochloric acid based Ferric Chloride etchants, Sulfuric acid pickles; and Sulfuric acid anodize solutions. This paper reviews Diffusion Dialysis technology and relates the history of it's use with several process chemistries.
