摘要

Modeling of three-dimensional shapes has become an important subject in CAD education due to the widespread use of three-dimensional CAD systems in industrial fields. In this paper, a method of three-dimensional shape modeling in terms of features is proposed. Modeling using features defines a process in which a three-dimensional shape is created. The modeling method consists of the following three steps. First, datum planes and axes are defined. Second, base features are defined. Finally, construction features such as holes, runds, fillets, chamfers and cuts are defined. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed by modeling of parts of complex shape.
