The effect of multiprocessor architectures on Ada application software development

摘要

The authors present the results of an analysis of the effects of multiprocessor run-time issues on Ada application software development directed toward concurrent hard real-time applications. Four areas are analyzed with respect to multiprocessor run-time issues: scheduling, process synchronization memory, and system fault tolerance. Current Ada support for concurrent execution is described and the implications of proposed Ada 9X changes are discussed.
