Analysis of the Causes, Effects and Treatments of Alcohol Use Disorder

Alcohol use disorder refers to an addiction to alcohol and it can be defined by several criteria of symptoms. Since alcohol often appears in our daily lives, it is regarded as an essential social tool. Therefore, the role of alcohol in modern society is becoming more and more important. However, inappropriate drinking behavior can cause a series of problems, physical problems and psychological problems, especially among young people in college. Some factors work together to affect people's lives. This study aims to contain much of current knowledge and researches about alcohol use disorder in the past decade, including the causes, effects and treatments of AUD, as well as providing directions for further study. The author suggests the further study of AUD should focus on the development tendency between male and female with AUD, the symptoms should be subdivided for study. In addition, the interactions which are produced by combining multiple forms of treatment need to be emphasized in the future.
