摘要

The COVID-19 pandemic incited fear in Chinese adolescents and profoundly impacted their daily living, demanding they conform to public health restrictions. The purpose of the present study was to assess how the pandemic influenced the subjective well-being of Chinese adolescents, among other predictors, namely depression and hope. Results indicate significant correlations between hope, depression, and well-being in a sample of Chinese high school students. Despite the relatively weak significance of COVID-19 as a predictor, future directions may reveal more substantial results. Lastly, a scale measuring the impact of COVID-19 with adequate reliability and validity was developed in the process.
