The proposed system referred to as “TeraBot”, is a service-oriented robot, which is capable of performing applications based on a smart farming system. Tera-Bot aids remote monitoring and the reduction of complex labor-intensive farming activities. To guarantee its mobility, the locomotion mechanism of the robot is adaptable to multiple surfaces (including artificial environments like bricks, staircases) using caterpillar tracks. Robots based on single locomotive forms lack crucial multi-terrain adaptivity which prevents them from being practically used in realistic farming activities. The agility of the bot has been enhanced using detachable attachments as components of the robotic arm thus efficiently performing multiple farming tasks like seeding, watering, and weeding. Controlled by Arduino Uno board the bot design is simplified into subsystems i.e., sensor, bot movement, and arm movement. Another advantage of this model is the bi-directional maneuvering. Range efficiency is ensured using wireless control over the browser using Node MCU. Game console-like controllers accommodate amateur users to engage in gardening without the distress of physical exhaustion.
