This study reviewed the literature on the thermal comfort in schools of tropical, subtropical and hot and dry regions. In this study, relation between the outdoor air temperature and comfort temperature were discussed and compared. This study may help to list out the thermal condition of the classrooms of the different areas and what should be improved. Additionally, the thermal comfort survey in schools of Nepal after massive earthquake were discussed and analyzed as a case study. The survey was conducted in four schools of the Lalitpur and Sindhupalchok districts with 36 students in total. The comfort temperatures of the four schools were found to be around 22°C.
