摘要

To investigate the wave-body interaction of flexible floatingstructures in time domain, a RANS/CFD solver is adopted.The VOF-method based wave model is used to simulate waveinteraction with a 6-DOF motion ship model. The overset gridapproach is used for simulating the motion of the bargeaccurately. Validation studies are carried out systematically toevaluate the numerical implementation including time step,mesh size, location of the barge, computational domain widthand length of damping zone, respectively. Numerical resultsare presented for the motion response of the three-dimensionalbarge treated as a rigid body. The RAOs of verticaldisplacements at several measured positions on the barge arecalculated using this fluid-structure-interaction technique, andcompared with other numerical results in a good agreement.
