A single-polarization single-mode (SPSM) splitter based on the liquid filling dual-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) has been designed. The full-vector finite-element method (FEM) and the basic theory of mode coupling are applied to analyze the guiding properties of the designed splitter. Numerical investigations demonstrate that the wavelengths of 1.3μm and 1.55μm are split for a fiber length of 1.67mm with single-polarization guiding in each core. Around the wavelengths of 1.3μm and1.55μm, when the crosstalk is lower than -20dB, the crosstalk bandwidths can reach 25nm and 35nm in the x-polarization direction, respectively. This design has important application value in optical communication system and optical devices.
